make the difference

We at Out Voice in working to increase membership, solicit funds and foster grassroots involvement are submitting the following proposal to serve as a guide to individuals within each of the regions around the state in achieving these goals.
By approaching interested individuals or those who we feel have a vested interest in becoming invol-
ved; their involvement and active participation is the bottom line in the success of our efforts. If we are to succeed in the
Foster grassroots involvement by asking individuals to host house parties to which they would invite ten to twenty of their own personal friends or contacts. Those individuals should be selected by the host as being potentially willing to become involved in any of the above three mentioned ways. Out Voice regional representatives will facilitate these meetings providing programming in the form of a video such as The Gay

struggle for equal civil rights, we must actively solicit the participation of each and every lesbian, gay, bisexual and ally in the state of Ohio if our battle is to be a success.
We should be vigilant and persistent in our recruitment for involvement until those individuals being approached commit to any one or all three levels of involvement as outlined below.
Aggressively solicit individuals to join in the fight by becoming a member and further donating above and beyond the membership level. By their financial participation they are monetarily making the fight possible by providing us with the funds to fight the religious right.
Actively encourage interested individuals to aid us in the OutWatch project by helping to monitor the media in their immediate area and following through with that by alerting us to those topics and actions which we need to appropriately respond to.
Agenda, Gay Rights-Special Rights or We The People and other pertinent videos as they
develop. Attendance lists
should be circulated by the host verifying those in attendance, which will be later used for Out Voice and Citizens For Justice.
Once again these same individuals should be encouraged to become involved in one of the three ways; financially, OutWatch monitors or House Party Hosts. By continuing to reduplicate these efforts again and again we can assure our success in building our financial base, membership base, grassroots networking and coalition building in the successful establishment of equal civil rights in the state of Ohio.
This is presented as a working plan to be implemented within the next several months as we actively explore those approaches and techniques which we find successful as we continue to develop and expand the involvement of Ohio's lesbian, gay, bisexual and allied community in furthering the equal civil rights of these citizens in our state in the years to come.
